锂离子电池过往与未来

The past, present and future of lithium ion batteries

  • 摘要: 2019年诺贝尔化学奖授予从事锂离子电池研究的三位杰出科学家,让锂离子电池这项技术成为社会大众视野焦点,也表明了锂离子电池在推动人类社会科学技术进步中所做出的贡献得到了科学界一致认可。文章结合三位获奖者的工作对锂离子电池的发明及其过往历史做一简单梳理和介绍,并在此基础上谈谈锂离子电池技术未来面临的机遇和存在的挑战。

     

    Abstract: In 2019 the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to three scientists including John B. Goodenough, M. Stanley Whittingham, and Akira Yoshino, for the development of lithiumion batteries. This shows that lithium ion batteries have been widely and highly recognized for their huge impact on human society. In this article we review the history of lithium ion batteries from their birth to the current commercial rechargeable versions, and further anticipate the new opportunities and challenges they face in the future.
